This game is simple but full of strategy. The developer continuously holds tournaments for singles and team play. You dont need to spend months building an empire, you only need practice to get better.

Ive been playing this one for a very long time. The three races all have their individual strengths and weaknesses, and it often takes careful planning to beat the higher level players. The usual online perils of online gaming exist here. A player never comes back giving someone an unfair advantage, or the occasional cheater with two accounts (hasnt happened very often, I probably see it once every two months though). If youre into online turn based strategy games, then this is in my opinion the very best you can get on the iPhone.

If you like chess, old school hex based war games, or any strategy game, youll probably like this. Its all about controlling space and organising mass attacks... or is it all about zipping in for a swift annihilation?! Biggest drawback: since the net-based user-generated maps came in there are some that are really unbalanced so if you take the game seriously, dont go for randomly generated games, but generally its very enjoyable.

Ive bought this game when it was paid so its silly for me to see these ads. You shouldnt make it free. Ive always loved this game but this ad thing really sucks.

For anyone who liked Advance Wars, this is the spiritual successor to that series. Enthralling strategy, well balanced, and no "pay to win" or to progress. Ive been playing single player and enjoying it greatly. Some people complain about ads, but there are none in single player. From what I gather, they only happen if you go over your limit for simultaneous multiplayer games, and you can pay to increase that limit. Its a very fair business model compared to most mobile games. The developers have to make money somehow, and this method has no impact on the actual game mechanics, keeping it fair for players.

Ive been playing this game on several devices since 2009 with no vision to stop any time soon. The game speaks for itself. Edit: The new "ads" feature is only because this game went free to play. You can avoid ads by going offline, not going over your number of allowed games, or simply buying more game slots (50 in game current). People like myself bought this game for $5 years ago and have a lot of game slots already, if you dont want ads put $5 down and get rid of them. GG EZ

This is a great game. No matter what is wrong with the interface (like ads) it will still be a great game.

Unplayable now from all the pop-up ads that you cant skip. Deleted.

Ive been playing this game for the last 3 years and I hope to be playing for the next 3. Its a well-made, balanced, strategy game that is fun and easy to play with friends.

This is a game you could play for 5-10 years and still feel like you have room for improvement. There is a free to use online mode, complete with a chat room, match making for random games, a ranking list and competitive tournaments! This game has amazing balance between the races with enough different to make them all distinct. It is very much like a turn based Starcraft in that regard. The developers are consistently posting in the global chat, and take user input into account when making balancing patches. Coming up eventually will be new units and maybe new races. The developer made the game free to try to attract new players. The game currently has infrequent ads ONLY if you go over the allotted game slots (four to start!). So no need to view a single ad if you dont want to. You can pay to avoid ads altogether by buying more game slots over time. But only as needed. Give it a try, you will be hooked to this wonderful game

The only game I play. Great online gaming option with an awesome community of players and free tournaments. Play through the tutorial and you will be hooked.

Absolutely perfect! Looking forward to new maps, possibly campaign, and new units! Dont listen about the pop up ads, you can have 20 games going with no pop ups, and the pop ups are like 5 seconds.
